No King rally in SW Florida.

We live in a small city in Southwest Florida, where much of the population is made up of vibrant retirees in their 55+ years.

Florida mornings in June are already hot—by 9 a.m., the temperature was over 80°F. Yet despite the heat, more than 300 people showed up for the No King rally. Some came in wheelchairs, others with walkers—but they came.

I couldn’t be more proud of my neighbors!

They’ve defied our courts, deported Americans, disappeared people off the streets, attacked our civil rights, and slashed our services.

They deployed our National Guard and Marines against the American people.

That’s why today, in more than 2,000 cities and towns across the country, millions are rising up to defend democracy, reject authoritarian overreach, and stand united for our communities.

The corruption has gone too far.

No thrones. No crowns. No kings.

I choose to believe in a better future for America—because we should never underestimate the strength and spirit of the American people!
